Tutoring
I believe strong academic foundations help students feel capable, confident, and prepared for the future. My tutoring approach focuses not only on improving grades, but also on building habits, confidence, and independence that students can carry with them long-term.
I’m especially passionate about two foundational skills: daily reading and quick math fluency. Research consistently shows that students who read regularly — even just 20 minutes a day — build stronger vocabulary, comprehension, focus, and academic confidence. In the same way, mastering quick math facts gives students the mental flexibility they need for problem-solving, higher-level math, and future success.
Most importantly, I love working with children and helping them realize that they are capable of more than they think. Every child deserves to feel successful, supported, and confident in their learning — because they are the future.
Approach
About my approach
My tutoring philosophy is rooted in patience, encouragement, and consistency. I work with each student as an individual, identifying where they need support while also helping them build the confidence to take ownership of their learning.
I strongly believe that small daily habits create major academic growth. Reading every day, practicing math facts, staying organized, and learning how to study effectively can make a lasting difference in a student’s confidence and performance. My goal is to help students strengthen these habits in a way that feels manageable, encouraging, and sustainable.

Philosophy
My tutoring philosophy
I believe tutoring should be encouraging, structured, and personalized. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach based on each child’s personality, learning style, and academic goals.
My goal is to make learning feel less intimidating and more achievable. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying ahead, preparing for a test, or building stronger study habits, I focus on creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and trying again.
Foundations
Why foundational skills matter
Strong foundations in reading and math can shape a student’s entire academic experience. Daily reading helps students become stronger thinkers, writers, and communicators. Quick math fluency helps students solve problems faster and with more confidence.
When students build these skills early, they are better prepared for future classes, standardized tests, and lifelong learning.
